Talacre
(1903 - 1966)

Talacre Station was opened on May 1 1903 when the North Wales coast had become a very popular holiday destination for the populations of the Liverpool and Manchester

The line had been provided with four tracks, fast and slow lines with the fast lines being located in the centre. Talacre Station was provided with two platforms located on the slow lines only because the fast express trains did not stop at the station

By the 1960's, holiday traffic had declined and as the station was in a remote location it was closed to goods traffic on May 4 1964 and to passenger traffic on February 14 1966

Both of its platforms survive intact today
