Ballavolley Halt (Wildlife Park)
(1965 - 1968)

During the Summer of 1965 a wildlife park was opened adjacent to the St Johns to Ramsey railway between Ballaugh and Sulby. The park was called the Curraghs Wildlife Park and to serve it the Isle of Man Railway opened a halt which was called Ballavolley Halt for Wildlife Park. The halt consisted of nothing more than a sign

There were no platforms and no facilities and the station closed at the end of the Summer of 1965 along with the St Johns to Ramsey line and all of its other stations

On June 4 1967, the line and halt was re-opened but it was now simply known as Wildlife Park. However this was not to last for long as once again the entire line closed on September 6 1968

Today nothing remains of the station but the wildlife park is still in operation
