Waterfall Halt
(1886 - 1968)

Waterfall station which served the village of Lower Foxdale opened along with the Foxdale Railway on August 17 1886. It served trains running between Foxdale and St Johns with some going on to Ramsey in the early days

The station at Waterfall consisted of a small wooden waiting shelter. The Foxdale Branch had been constructed primarily to serve local mines at Foxdale and passenger services were always sparse. In 1928, the station was downgraded to a request stop. In 1940 many services were operated by buses and in 1943 the line closed to passengers. It continued in use for goods up until 1960 and the track was not lifted until the mid 1970's
