Foryd station opened on October 5 1858 on the Rhyl to Denbigh line
An extension of the line from a point just to the south of Foryd station to Foryd Pier was opened in August 1864 but it was never regularly used for passengers
Foryd station was provided with 1 platform and after closure it was provided with a loop so that trains could pass each other. The station had a brick-built 2 storey building which provided the usual facilities.
At the time of opening Foryd station was served by 4 trains per day using the line
Being in a remote location Foryd station was an early closure and it closed to passenger services on April 20 1885
