Farnworth and Bold formerly Farnworth
(1845 - 1951)

Farnworth and Bold station located on the south side of Derby Road was on the St Helens and Runcorn Gap Railway

From 1845 the gradients were eased for locomotive working and at about this time the station was opened originally being named Farnworth

On January 2 1890 it was renamed Farnworth and Bold as by that time another Farnworth station had opened on the CLC Line (1873) nearby

The service lasted until 16 June 1951 when Farnworth and Bold closed as a passenger station. At the end of 1981 the line closed as a through route and it was lifted during 1982
