Union Bank Farm Halt
(1911 - 1951)

Union Bank Farm Halt was opened on November 1 1911 to the west of Tibbs Cross Lane to facilitate a Railmotor service. Although the use of a steam railcar did not last long the halt remained open until the end of passenger services on the line

This small station was a simple wooden structure and served a number of isolated farms and cottages

The service lasted until June 16 1951 when Union Bank closed as a passenger station. On November 1 1981 the line closed as a through route and the track through the site of Union Bank Farm Halt was lifted shortly afterwards

Today the only evidence of there being a station at this location is a number of fence posts hidden in the trees
