When Alexandra Dock station was opened in 1893 it was the northerm terminus of the 5 mile long LOR
There were two platforms with shelters and ticketing facilities on each platform
A northern extension was opened on April 30 1894 and Seaforth Sands station became the new terminus
The station closed with the rest of the LOR in December 1956 and was demolished soon after
