Pencader Junction
(1866 - 1880)

The Carmarthen & Cardigan Railway (C & CR) extended their line from Pencader to Llandyssil on June 3 1864 and the Manchester & Milford Railway opened their line from Pencader to Lampeter on January 1 1866

The railways different gauges and to allow exchange between the two lines an interchange station called Pencader Junction was opened half-a-mile north of the C&CR's Pencader station. It first appeared in company timetables in February 1866

When the gauges were standardised, Pencader Junction was closed in May 1880

The station was demolished and the exact siting of the station is not known
