Bugle
(1876 - )

Bugle railway station serves the village of Bugle in Cornwall and a passenger service was introduced on June 20 1876 with a single platform on the north side of the line was provided

The line from Bugle eastwards was doubled in July 1930, with the new line passing behind the platform to create an island platform. From November 29 1964 the original line was only used for freight trains and this meant that all passenger trains now use the 1930 platform face. The freight branch closed on August 25 1989 leaving just a single track through the station and all the way to Newquay

Trains on the Par to Newquay branch line stop at Bugle on request - this means that passengers alighting here must tell the conductor that they wish to do so, and those waiting to join must signal clearly to the driver as the train approaches

On peak summer Saturdays there is no service as the line is worked to capacity by long-distance trains bringing holidaymakers to Newquay
