Fowey Dock
(1895 - 1968)

Goods trains passed through Fowey station to the jetties at Fowey Dock where ships could be loaded directly from the wagons

On September 16 1895 a connection was made to the disused Lostwithiel and Fowey Railway and a passenger service introduced between Fowey and Lostwithiel

The goods traffic from Par ceased on July 1 1968 and the railway was then converted into a private road to bring china clay from Par harbour to the dockside

Although Fowey station no longer exists, freight trains still reach the nearby docks on the line from Lostwithiel
