Wrexham General

Wrexham General railway station is a main line railway station and the main railway station serving Wrexham, north-east Wales

It is the southern terminus for trains from Chester and opened in 1846 and the original site has been re-developed in 1912, 2008 and 2011

The station is unmanned but the ticket office is open from 6am to 7pm and tickets can be purchased from a ticket machine at other times

The intermediate stations have all been closed but the line has been doubled-tracked to allow trains to travel at 90 miles per hour
