Pemberton

Pemberton railway station serves the Pemberton area of Wigan in Greater Manchester. It is on the Wigan Wallgate to Kirkby branch line and was opened on November 20 1848 by the Liverpool and Bury Railway
The platforms are at the bottom of two ramps, one on each side of the track
The station is unmanned and has no ticket machine, so passengers must buy their tickets in advance or on the train from the conductor. Basic shelters are located on each platform, along with
the timetable poster boards. Train running information can also be obtained by telephone
There is an hourly service Monday to Saturday daytimes westbound to Kirkby, for connections to Liverpool Central and eastbound to Wigan. There is no late evening and there is no Sunday service
