Upholland 2nd formerly Up Holland formerly Pimbo Lane
(1848 - )


Upholland station was originally called Pimbo Lane station opening on November 20 1848. It was renamed Up Holland in October 1900 and Upholland in 1902

The station is unstaffed and has no permanent buildings other than basic shelters on each platform. Timetable posters and a pay phone provide train running information. Step-free access is available to the eastbound platform via a steep ramp but not for the westbound one which can be reached by a staircase from Pimbo Lane

Upholland is served by one train per hour in each direction, towards Manchester Victoria, Blackburn and Kirkby with some trains starting or finishing at Wigan Wallgate. There is no late evening service and no service on a Sunday
