Fyling Hall
(1885 - 1915 1920 -1965)

The station was opened on July 16 1885 but closed on December 1 1915 as an economy measure during World War 1, reopening on September 18 1920. Fyling Hall was one of 4 stations on the line without a passing loop. The station was made into a 'block post' in 1934 which allowed 2 trains to be on the line between Ravenscar and Robins Hood Bay at the same time travelling in the same direction

Fyling Hall became an unstaffed halt with a public siding from May 5 1958 and freight facilities were withdrawn on May 4 1964, 3 months before all freight services were withdrawn along the line

Part of the platform survives on the Down side of the line and there is also a section of platform on the Up side of the line and the station house survives as a private residence
