Dolgellau formerly Dolgelley formerly Dolgelly
(1868 - 1965)
Dolgellau railway station in Gwynedd was a station opened on August 4 1868 on the Ruabon to Barmouth line as Dolgelly and renamed as Dolgelley in 1896, finally renamed as Dolgellau in September 1960
It had two platforms and a passing loop, an extensive goods yard and turntable closing in May 1964
Nothing remains of the station closed in January 18 1965 and it was demolished in the late 1970s to make way for the A470 Dolgellau bypass
