Collins Green
(1830 - 1951)


The L&M railway line opened in September 1830 but Collins Green didn't appear in the company timetable until March 1 1831. It closed to passengers on April 2 1951

Situated close to the historic Sankey Viaduct the station consisted of two platforms linked by a footbridge

Typical LNWR style wooden booking and waiting facilities where located on each platform

The station was served by local trains running between Liverpool and Manchester or on shorter journeys. A steady stream of express and goods services would have passed through
