Glazebury & Bury Lane formerly Bury Lane
(1830 - 1958)


The L&M railway line opened in September 1830 but Glazebury & Bury Lane didn't appear in the company timetable until March 1 1831. It closed to passengers on July 7 1958

The station was initially called Bury Lane and had been developed as a two platform station with staggered platforms and fairly simple wooden booking and waiting facilities

It was renamed as Glazebury and Bury Lane in July 1878

After closing in July 1958, the station buildings and platforms were demolished and nothing remains of the site but trains still pass through
