Connahs Quay
(1870 - 1966)
Connahs Quay station was opened on September 1 1870 on the Chester to Holyhead line and was mostly served by local stopping trains
The station was provided with two platforms which were linked by a footbridge. On the westbound platform a two-storey brick-built building provided booking facilities,
waiting rooms and staff accommodation. On the east bound platform there was a single-storey waiting shelter
There were no goods facilities after November 1 1952 although a coal depot remained in use after that date
The station was closed to passengers on February 14 1966 and the station was demolished. Modern houses occupy the site
