Glazebrook
(1873 - )

Opened in 1873, Glazebrook was formerly the junction for lines to Wigan (the former Central station) and St Helens (the former Central station), stations which closed in 1964 and 1952 respectively, and also for a line to Stockport (the former Tiviot Dale station) which closed in 1964

Level access to the platform is available on the Liverpool-bound side; the opposite side is accessed via a long ramp

Although this station is not within the Greater Manchester area, it does mark the western boundary of the range of rail tickets produced by the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive
